November 28, 2012 2012 Madrigal Dinner

Come one, come all, and enjoy traditional English fare, amidst the antics of jesters and manorfolk, dancing and revelry, the Puppet Master, and the wonderfully interwoven lines of the madrigal song. 

Wright State University’s Student Union Apollo Room will be transformed into an English manor of the Renaissance era for the 30th annual Madrigal Dinner, December 13–16, 2012. Guests are treated to the voices of the Wright State Chamber Singers, medieval dances choreographed by the Tudor Rose Performing Troupe, and the music of Wind in the Woods Early Music Ensemble.

October 30, 2012 Basketball & Alumni Zone

The 2012–13 basketball season kicks off Friday, November 2, when the men’s basketball team plays Central State in an exhibition game. The Alumni Association will be in the new Above the Rim Alumni Zone near gate #8 an hour before each men’s home basketball game at the Wright State University Nutter Center beginning November 16. This new zone is part of the Fricker’s Above the Rim section. Beverages will be available to Alumni Association members at steeply discounted prices and snacks provided at no cost.

Come join us for Holidays in the Heartland, Wright State's annual musical celebration of Thanksgiving and Veteran's Day, at the Schuster Center in downtown Dayton. The concert features some of the area’s most outstanding student vocalists and instrumentalists, joined by guest performers and your host, Shaun Yu of Dayton Public Radio. Experience a grand and glorious panorama of America's musical heritage, including some of your favorite hymns, spirituals, gospels, patriotic songs and much, much more.
September 25, 2012 New Alumni Center Grand Opening Homecoming Weekend

For the first time in 43 years, Rockafield House will serve Wright State in a different capacity.

Built in 1969 for the university’s first president, Brage Golding, and subsequently occupied by Wright State’s first six presidents and their families, Rockafield House is now Rockafield Alumni Center, the new home for the Wright State University Alumni Association and alumni returning to campus.

Has it been a while since your last time on campus? Have you been thinking lately that it would be fun to catch up with your college friends and relive the fun you had as students?

 Homecoming 2012, planned for Friday through Sunday, Oct. 12–14 on campus, will be an opportunity to reconnect with people you bonded with during one of the most special times of your life. We've planned a number of enjoyable activities during the weekend that will help you revisit old memories and make new ones. You can see how much Wright State has changed since you were a student.
August 28, 2012 Scholarship Appeal

For over four decades the Wright State University Alumni Association has been committed to supporting student scholarships. In today’s economy, as state and federal funding continue to decrease, private dollars for scholarships are needed now more than ever before. It’s estimated that at least two-thirds of college students now graduate with loans—even the average debt for Wright State graduates is nearly $27,000.  Approximately 83 percent of our Wright State graduates have taken at least one loan during their college careers.
