Nearly 40 alumni, students, faculty, and staff joined the Alumni Association for A Day of Service.
In Dayton, our volunteers worked on a service project at the Beaver Creek Wetlands on Saturday, April 13. Volunteers removed invasive plants from the adjacent meadow and planted specific wetland plants that will benefit this unique ecosystem. The new planting will not only help the environment, it is also part of a research project for current Wright State students.
We believe that the pursuit of knowledge is a lifelong quest. Alumni College is a rich opportunity to sample the recent research and academic courses of Wright State’s distinguished faculty. When you’re not in class, Alumni College offers a chance to mingle with your fellow “classmates” who make up a broad spectrum of Wright State alumni from various class years, majors, and regions.
Our next Alumni Speaker Series will be held during Senior Week, Wednesday April 17 at noon in the Discovery Room (Student Union). Our featured speaker is Andrea Kunk '04, '07 (see bio below).
The Alumni Speaker Series is free and open to the public. Students are strongly encouraged to attend! Food and drinks will be provided.
