Alumnus Profile: Mary Leal

Mary E. Leal, M.A., began her career as Fairborn, Ohio's first female police cadet in 1971. Mary has also worked as a supervisory case manager at Montgomery County Children's Services where she acted as a caseworker supervisor, the law enforcement liaison and teamed in founding the Sexual Abuse Response Team and Children's Medical Center. In 1983, she joined the Dayton Police Department as a sworn peace officer and instructor.
