Joyce Beatty, '75 M.S.

Congresswoman Joyce Beatty graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Central State University, received her Master of Science degree from Wright State in 1975, and completed all but her dissertation for a doctorate at the University of Cincinnati. She also has received two honorary doctoral degrees from Ohio Dominican University and Central State University.

On November 6, 2012, Beatty was elected to Congress to represent the newly drawn Ohio 3rd Congressional District that is wholly contained within Franklin County and represents 29 municipalities.

Pratik Parikh, Ph.D., is a gifted and dedicated educator and researcher, admired by his Wright State colleagues and students, and his industry and academic collaborators.

He is assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical, Industrial, and Human Factors Engineering in the College of Engineering and Computer Science and director of the Data Analytics and Optimization Laboratory. He also has a courtesy appointment in the Department of Surgery in the Boonshoft School of Medicine.
