Who are we?
Formally established in 2007, NLAAS was created by Wright State graduates from differing majors that earned their national certificate in nonprofit administration. To earn the NLA certificate, students are required to be active in the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance program, acquire nonprofit and professional competencies, and complete an internship along with traditional coursework. The student experience can be not only rewarding, but very intense and a lot of hard work— very similar to a career in public service. To keep the NLA experience and spirit alive, several alumni approached the Wright State Alumni Association and collectively agreed to create the NLAAS.
Our mission is to continue the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance experience beyond graduation by establishing partnerships between the Wright State University alumni, the community, and the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance Student Association through community service, social, and professional activities.
